Wade Klaver

After more than a decade in research and development with private high-tech ventures, Wade joined UBC’s Advanced Research Computing unit, where he supports computational strategies and technical architectures for research projects of all sizes and disciplines. In addition to his work at UBC, he collaborates with the Digital Research Alliance of Canada to assist research personnel using Alliance resources both at UBC and across the country. A lifelong technology enthusiast, Wade’s involvement in the DTC stems from his interest in the governance of data-driven, decision-making technologies and their intersection with society, particularly in areas such as critical infrastructure and essential services, personal privacy and information sovereignty, and overall societal well-being.
